Students

The Institute enrolls both ecclesiastic and secular students who have the necessary pre-requisites for advanced studies in an Ecclesiastical University.

Three categories of students may attend the courses: ordinary and extraordinary students, and auditors.

Ordinary students aim at gaining an academic degree in the Licenza of Theology with specialization in Ecumenical Studies.

Extraordinary students regularly attend some of the courses and will undertake examinations, without obtaining the academic Degree.

Auditors attend some of the courses, without examinations.

Entrance Requirements

Ordinary students in the two-year Licenza course with specialization in Ecumenical Studies will need to provide an academic record of a Bachelor Degree in Theology.

All the ordinary students will need to have a sufficient knowledge of Latin and Greek, recognized by an official qualification or by an examination, in order to be able to consult original texts; furthermore, they need to demonstrate a fair competence in two modern languages, excluding their own mother tongue.

Attendance to lectures is compulsory; students will not be admitted to examinations unless they have attended two thirds of the lessons.
