Identity of the Association
The Association was officially formed by a notarial deed dated January 9th 2007. It is a non-profit Organization with a social purpose and it is registered in the ONLUS Office at the Regional Tax Agency. The objective, as declared in section 4 of the Statute, is to provide a strong support to the academic and cultural activity of ISE, the St. Bernardino Institute of Ecumenical Studies in Venice (a Faculty of Theology, with specialization in Ecumenism, branching from the Pontificia Università Antonianum in Rome).
The Association strives towards:
a) increasing, improving and protecting ISE Library assets;
b) supplying scholarships and subsidies to students coming from economically disadvantaged countries and from low income communities in order to give them the opportunity to complete academic studies at ISE;
c) holding conventions and seminars for studies and research promoting human rights and peace culture.
Structure of the Association
Members are the foundation of the Association: any person sharing its goals and accepting its statute, and any private or public body, including companies, willing to contribute to its statutory aims, may become a member.
The aims of the Association are implemented through:
a) the members' meetings, whose resolutions are finalized to carry out the guidelines set in the social statute;
b) the executive board, considered the driving and administrative body of the association's activities;
c) the auditors, responsible for the correct economical and patrimonial running of the Association.
